WB Civil Service Exam 2022 Registration Deadline Extended; here’s how to apply

The West Bengal Civil Service Commission (WBPSC) has extended the online registration deadline for West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) etc. Exam, 2022 due to difficulties reported by aspirants in receiving OTP/Password/Registration ID etc. in their registered mobile numbers while filling the online application forms. Interested and eligible candidates will now be able to register and pay the exam fee on the official website www.wbpsc.gov.in until April 5, 2022.

The deadline for offline fee submission via PNB Challan is 7 April 2022 (until official banking hours). Candidates will be able to edit their application from April 8 to 14, 2022.

Notification of revised dates.

The WBCS 2022 exam will be held for recruitment to positions under the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) and some other services and positions. The review will consist of three stages: i) Preliminary review, ii) Main review and iii) Interview.

Eligibility criteria

Age limit: Not younger than 21 but not older than 36 on January 1 of the year of examination for services and positions included in groups “A” and “C” (i.e. born no earlier than January 2, 1986 and no later than January 1, 2001).

Education Qualification: Degree from a recognized university. Ability to read, write and speak Bengali (not required for applicants whose mother tongue is Nepali) – see Ministry of Finance Notification No. 1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016. NB More details in the notification.

Registration fees

Non-reserved category applicants are required to pay the fee of Rs 210. West Bengal SC/ST category applicants and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) with physical disabilities of 40% and above are not required to pay expenses. Applicants from British Columbia West Bengal are however required to pay the usual fees as stated above. No fee waiver is available for SC/ST/BC applicants from other states.

2. Click on ‘Single registration‘ under the Candidate’s Corner section
3. Complete the form using personal and contact details and generate your registration number
4. Log in using the registration number password
5. Complete the exam request form
6. Upload documents, pay fees and submit
7. Download the application form for future reference
