Fiji Bitter Tabadamu 7s organizers received a timely boost on Friday with Kontiki Finance joining in with a $3,000 sponsorship and securing the naming rights for the under-21 competition.
The Tabadamu 7s starts on Thursday for the men’s and U21 pool matches while the women’s competition starts from Friday.
The U21 competition will now be called the Kontiki Finance U21 competition and marketing manager Katherine Reade said she was truly proud to support Fijian rugby’s future stars.
“We are proud to be sponsoring the Under 21 tournament for this year’s Tabadamu 7s tournament taking place next week,” Reade said.
“The three-day tournament is expected to be an exciting affair due to the growing number of teams wishing to participate.
“We are very fortunate at Kontiki to join us and we look forward to this partnership and hope to develop it in the future.”
Tournament Director James Vunituraga said he acknowledged Kontiki’s support and help in promoting the growth of youth rugby.
“We thank Kontiki Finance for their significant and timely support with this $3,000 sponsorship,” Vunituraga said.
“We thank your organization’s support of Tabadamu Rugby Club for the first Fiji Bitter Tabadamu 7 and we hope this sponsorship will enable young and aspiring rugby players to realize their dreams and ambitions.”
