A corporate finance firm has bolstered its structured finance team with a senior appointment to support the company’s continued expansion.
John Platt joins Oldham-based PMD Business Finance from Natwest’s Corporate Banking team, where he worked for 14 years, most recently as Relationship Manager.
In his new role as Director of Structured Finance, Platt will assist clients across the UK on all aspects of structured finance needs. This includes acquisitions, management buyouts, corporate employee trusts (EOTs), restructuring and growth capital.
Platt will also lead a new real estate finance division which will see PMD offer specialist brokerage services such as commercial mortgages and development finance.
John Platt said: “I am delighted to take this step in my career, a step that will allow me to be part of the story of one of the UK’s most exciting independent financial services providers.
“I have known the PMD team for many years and look forward to using all of my experience to assist PMD clients and business introducers with structured finance and real estate finance needs.”
Platt’s hiring is the latest in a string of leadership appointments at PMD in recent months, bringing the company’s total headcount to 50.
PMD was acquired earlier this year by its management team – Tom Brown, Lee Schofield and Rob Dermody – from founders Peter Dobson and Mike Rodgers.
