Real estate finance company promotes executive | Business Observer

TAMPA – NorthMarq Capital, a Minneapolis-based commercial real estate company that provides debt and equity financing, has promoted Cody Mizelle to vice president of its Tampa office.

In her new role, Mizelle will invest both debt and equity and join the company’s associate producer program, which was launched in 2013 and aims to “bring a new generation of talent into the producer ranks”, according to a press release. The company says the program benefits executives by training them through in-house experts.

Mizelle will work under the direction of NorthMarq Managing Director Lee Weaver, who joined the company in 2003 as part of an acquisition of Baltimore-based Legg Mason Real Estate Services, and has been promoted to co-lead the operations of the company in Tampa in early 2019.

“Cody has worked hard since joining our Tampa office in 2017 and has been a vital part of our production team,” Weaver said in a statement.

“He is a conscientious team player, whose tireless work ethic has won him the favor of our most prestigious clients.

The Associate Producer program will allow Mizelle to “hone her mortgage banking skills alongside her peers,” Weaver adds.

Since joining NorthMarq four years ago from Cardinal Bank and Vesta Equity, Mizelle has arranged over $ 600 million in funding.

Founded 60 years ago, NorthMarq today generates an annual transaction volume of approximately $ 16 billion and has a loan service portfolio of more than $ 64 billion.
