Johnson, who is the chairman of private equity firm Risk Capital Partners and the backer of restaurant and leisure groups including Gail’s Bakery, All Star Lanes and Lussmanns Sustainable Fish & Grill, subscribes for 8,000,000 new shares at 2p each, raising £160,000 for the company.
Maréchale’s services are primarily aimed at hospitality and renewable energy businesses in the UK and Europe. Its clients include Corbin & King, Hawksmoor and Brewhouse & Kitchen.
As part of the subscription terms, Johnson will have the right to join the company’s board of directors, subject to due regulatory process, and has entered into a 12-month orderly market agreement regarding the disposal of any shares.
