Funding company crowns city dental clinic deal | Wales Offers News

Aftab Ahmad

FFP Solutions, based in North Wales, helped Aftab Ahmad acquire The Dental Practice in Manchester.

St Asaph’s financial brokerage firm backed Ahmad, who was struggling to secure financing during the coronavirus pandemic.

Employing seven employees at the Wilbraham Road site, the practice provides all aspects of general, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

“When the opportunity to take over the firm presented itself, I jumped at the opportunity and agreed to the terms with the vendors,” said Aftab Ahmad.

“Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and other nationwide issues, banks just weren’t interested in lending.

“Fortunately, a colleague knew FFP Solutions and they were able to support me; within days, lenders were interested and soon after signing the contracts, I was the proud owner of my own dental practice. “

Richard Pape, Richard Lloyd-Jones and Gareth Jones of FFP worked on the seven-figure deal.

“When business leaders or people in Aftab’s shoes – who want to help stimulate the economy, create jobs and provide a vital service – are shunned by the big names on the streets, they are often forced to rethink or even forget their investment plans, ”says Richard Pape.

“We encourage them to contact us as we can identify the channels and if there is support available, not only for the short term but for long term planning, as has been the case for Aftab.”
