Consumer finance company opens IT office in PHL

Non-bank financial institution INTERNATIONAL Home Credit BV (HCI) has launched EmbedIT Philippines Inc. (EITPH) “to strengthen its position in fintech and expand solutions and opportunities for consumers and partners,” said his local business.

According to HC Consumer Finance Philippines Inc., EmbedIT is HCI’s owned IT services entity that was founded in the Czech Republic and began operations in the Philippines earlier this year, “promising to deliver innovative solutions and technologies for real estate credit”.

“As Home Credit aims to be the leader in innovative financial products and services, there is a need to establish data centers in our strategic markets to accelerate our technology offerings. The creation of EITPH is about to be a game-changer,” EITPH President Susan Ong was quoted in a statement as saying.

“This will help us deliver new intellectual properties that will not only serve the Philippine market, but the entire Home Credit Group,” Ong added. “Furthermore, it will allow Home Credit to take advantage of the rapidly changing technology landscape and translate those changes into meaningful consumer propositions.”

Apart from the Philippines, EmbedIT also operates in India, Vietnam and Indonesia, with the same goal of setting the Home Credit business in motion.

The future of fintech

As part of Home Credit’s mission to provide the best financial services, EmbedIT provides the technology platform to deliver extensive IT services such as AI-based identity verification, big data-based risk management , digital loan origination, virtual renewal and credit card management, and best-in-class service, all delivered on a customer-centric omnichannel platform.

This shows that the EITPH is a gateway to the development of the local IT sector, showcasing potential global exposure, hands-on experience with new platforms, technologies, tools and ways of working to launch many career opportunities from computer professionals.

“Our EmbedIT group will enable the Philippine IT industry to develop and run a wide range of services for consumers and businesses,” Ong said.

“This can revolutionize Home Credit’s digital efforts and open up more opportunities for our local IT organizations, creating the most convenient business solutions and generating employment opportunities for many.”

Currently, EmbedIT is focused on co-developing Home Credit’s global mobile app as part of its strategic goals. It will be the main ecosystem serving consumers to create organized transactions and maintain a better user experience in different countries.

HCPH and EITPH aim to provide the best services, utilize their resources and engage in the latest technological developments geared towards easier partnership with consumers and a better future for Filipinos.

Home Credit Philippines is a finance company duly licensed and supervised by the Securities and Exchange Commission and by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
