Bolton’s financial firm takes on the world with 25,000 mile charity challenge

A LEADER financial firm in Bolton has launched an ambitious charity challenge for 2022.

Staff and bosses at Middlebrook-based K3 Capital Group tackle ‘Around the World in 30 Days’.

For the 30-day fundraiser, which kicked off on Friday, their more than 500 employees are encouraged to run, swim or cycle around the world.

This will collectively amount to 25,000 miles, with the group pledging £1 in sponsorship for every mile flown.

A team, representing Knight Corporate Finance, will cycle the equivalent distance from northwest to London.

Some of the charities that will benefit from the challenge include the NSPCC, international development organization We See Hope, mental health charity Mind, Bowel Cancer UK and Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Other suggestions for good causes are also sought by employees.

John Rigby, Managing Director of K3 Capital Group, said: “Everyone within the group is enthusiastic and motivated to raise as much money as possible for these fantastic charities.

“Covid has limited our ability to handle the usual calls to the office with many of our employees working remotely, so we wanted to organize something that allows them to participate wherever they are, while being fitter, by better health and ready to face 2022.”

The company provides regular updates to the workforce, with live tracking running on its website.
