Auto finance company MotoNovo seeks to accelerate growth with new management team


Cardiff-based car finance firm MotoNovo has unveiled a new management team as it seeks to build on record lending activity.

The company, which employs 723 people at its offices in Central Square in the center of the capital, established a record lending level of £1.99billion in its last financial year to June 2021, while increasing its UK car finance market share at 14.21% with over 520,000 customers.

Managing Director Karl Werner said the new look team will spearhead ambitious expansion plans in the coming year.

It is made up of: Debbie McKay, promoted to the new position of commercial director of automotive sales; Chris Rowthorn, promoted to a new role as Director of Automotive Sales Operations; Donna Slater, Head of Strategy, Research and Proposal Development; Mark Coles, Head of Marketing and Vicci Loosmore, Head of Product Governance and Marketing.

Mr. Werner said, “Our new leadership team combines diversity, deep knowledge and experience of the automotive finance industry, a rich appreciation of MotoNovo’s heritage, and new expertise in marketing and strategy.

MotoNovo is ultimately owned by South African financial services group FirstRand.
