Teleconsultation, telemedicine service begins between BGH and Chasnala Dispensary


A teleconsultation and telemedicine facility has been launched between Bokaro General Hospital and Chasnala Dispensary under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer (Medical and Health Services) Dr. Pankaj Sharma and with the support of the Executive Director (Collieries) BK Tiwari. CGM (P&A) Sanjay Tiwari, Chief Medical Officer (Medical and Health Services) Dr Prakash Pandey, Additional CMO (Medical and Health Services) Dr Varsha Ghanekar, Additional CMO (Medical and Health Services) Dr S. Samaddar, Managing Director (Tech.serv) S Banerjee, DGM (Finance and Accounts) S Singha, AGM (P&A) Ajay Kumar, Assistant CMO Dr. Poonam Kumari, PR Barik, Chinmoy Bansal, Rajesh K. Meena and employees of Chasnala Dispensary were associated with patient Mona Devi during the treatment session.

During the teleconsultation, the doctors interacted with the patient Mona Devi and asked her to take the necessary medications for her treatment. Personnel working in the mine like Chasnala, Jitpur, etc. included in the Colliery division of BSL can take advantage of this facility. Thus, with the introduction of the telemedicine facility, now patients in remote areas, if they want to seek advice or consultation from BGH specialist doctors, can easily obtain it by videoconference.
