Hope Payment Service Bank obtains MD | The Guardian Nigeria News


The Board of Directors of Hope Payment Service Bank Ltd has appointed Ms. Ogechi Chinwe Altraide as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.

The appointment is subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Announcing the appointment, the Bank’s Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, said Ms Altraide brings to the Board and the Bank over two and a half decades of uninterrupted experience in Nigeria’s dynamic banking industry and will provide valuable information to the Board and Management of the Bank thanks to his rich experience.

He further noted that the appointment of Ms. Altraide is one of the moves to position the Bank as one of the leading payment service banks in Nigeria.

Ogechi has over 25 years of experience in banking and has worked in different banks such as Ecobank, Diamond Bank and United Bank for Africa where she served as Deputy Managing Director until her current appointment as Managing Director/CEO of Hope PSBank.

She has held several positions including Group Head, Retail Banking, Head of Retail Banking, Group Head, Direct Sales, Head of Sales, Regional Manager and Branch Manager.

She has managed various portfolios including Agent Banking, International Remittances, SME, Customer Acquisition and Retail Growth.

She was also a non-executive director of UBA, Tanzania.

She holds a B.Sc. in Management and an MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Ogechi is a Certified Management Consultant, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB) and a Subject Matter Expert in Retail Sales and Campaigns.
