F&BS supports the University’s strategic and operational objectives by providing professional financial management and administration, reporting and effective business services.

Job Overview

The CFO is a senior member of the financial planning and analysis team within the Financial and Business Services (F&BS) division. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Team Leader to provide comprehensive and insightful management reporting, analysis and advice to the University’s portfolio and administration units supporting the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives. University.

The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of timely, efficient and value-added financial management and reporting services and supports the delivery of these services to the business units of the University.

The successful candidate in this role will be sensitive to relevant University stakeholders and collaborate with University colleagues to lead, develop and implement financial processes, strategies and initiatives. The position will also provide high quality business partnership services, helping lines of business achieve business goals with a focus on improving financial literacy and helping to achieve financial transformation.

Your relevant tertiary qualifications (CA, CPA) and experience in applying contemporary financial management practices and your analytical and problem-solving skills will be complemented by excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
