Sale Sharks have announced a new partnership with Manchester-based Roma Finance, which will see the home loan specialist’s logo appear on the back of the club’s kits for the 2021/22 season.

The distinctive Roma branding will appear above player numbers on the club’s new Macron kit when Sharks players take the pitch for their first game of the new campaign against Bath Rugby on September 18.

Sharks CEO Sid Sutton said: “Roma Finance is a perfect fit for us and we are delighted to welcome Scott and his team to the Sharks family.

“It’s a growing company with the community and its customers at the heart of everything it does, just as our supporters are at the heart of everything we do at Sale Sharks.

“We are at the start of an extremely exciting journey for the club, on and off the pitch, and we could not be happier to welcome a partner who matches our ambition and our values.”

Roma Finance is a real estate lender specializing in bridging, development and buy-and-lease finance for residential and commercial properties, operating across England, Wales and Scotland.

Scott Marshall, Managing Director of Roma Finance, said: “The sponsorship of sharks is a watershed moment for Roma.

“The values of Sale Sharks are very close to ours and I am really excited about the future of this young partnership.

“As a successful team the Sharks are entering an exciting new era and we as a company are thrilled to be making this trip. We are looking forward to a fantastic season.

He added: “Rome is a less ordinary lender. We are successful because we are completely focused on creating wealth for our clients through investment and real estate development.

“By working in collaboration with our partners, we remain agile and enthusiastic, we continue to learn and have a winning formula that gives real results. “
