A financial company reaches an agreement with an ethical investment specialist

Cheshire financial planning firm Foresight Wealth Strategists has made its first acquisition with the acquisition of Bury-based independent financial adviser Platinum Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will add an additional £35m of assets under management and 160 clients to Platinum, which was founded in 2007 and focuses on socially responsible and ethical investing.

The acquisition is part of Hale-based Foresight’s long-term strategic plan, supported by its strong organic growth.

Simon Booth, CEO of Foresight Wealth Strategists, said: “We have worked with Platinum SRI for many years and admire their approach, particularly when it comes to socially responsible and ethical investment choices for their clients. Their values align closely with ours and that’s why it’s a great acquisition.

“As we look to the future of Foresight, we will continue to seek other strategic acquisitions with companies that wish to maintain service for their customers even after the sale of their business.”

Ray Boucher, Director of Platinum SRI, said, “Providing my customers with ongoing service focused on their individual needs has always been my company’s priority. This focus has allowed me to develop strong client relationships, often allowing me to care for two or three generations of my clients.

“Foresight’s values as a financial planning firm are very much in line with mine.”
